Christine Ambrosino - -
ERYT, HHC and founder of art of movement, has been a practitioner and student of the healing arts for over 25 years.
Having studied a wide range of bodywork and bodymind movement practices she interweaves her experience of varied
disciplines to meet the needs each individual. Over the last 10 years she has been guiding people on their own journey
toward well being through the arts of hatha yoga, conscious eating and bodywork. For the last five years
she has been studying the art and science of Ayurveda, with Dr. Naina Marballi and through the Dinacharya Institute,
and incorporates this wisdom tradition into her current teaching practice. Her work today is a synthesis of these varied
disciplines, supporting the individual toward deeper awareness and understanding of their body. Christine believes our
experience of life is filtered through the continuum of our body and mind and the more fully we live in our body the more
deeply joyful our experience of life will be.

Sarita Allen - -
came to bodywork through her career in the world of dance. She began her
studies of the Pilates Method in 1975 while an apprentice with the prestigious Dance
Theater of Harlem. An injury to her knee lead her to her teacher and mentor Kathy Grant,
who studied directly with Joseph Pilates, the originator of this bodymind conditioning
system. She attributes her long and varied career, first as a principle dancer with Alvin
Ailey and currently with the internationally acclaimed company, Complexions, to this
early introduction and continuing commitment to the Pilates Method. Beyond dance, her
education in movement includes training with Juliu Horvath, the creator of the Gyrotonic
Expansion System, at White Cloud Studio, Gyrokinesis/Yoga for Dancers with Hilary
Cartwright, and with Zena Rommett who created the Floor Barre, a conditioning method
used by top dancers around the world. She continues to explore the connections between
body, mind and spirit through further education in Thai massage and cutting-edge
developments in the Pilates Method. Sarita is committed to helping others learn and
benefit from the healing that occurs through moving the body.
